Scared of Bears.

entrance to mountain park (Caz jumped at any sound in the bushes after this)

We decided to take a walk up Burnaby mountain, we had only gone a few metres when we came across this sign. I would have liked to have gone back, cos I know we are not bear aware. However we carry onwards and upwards, on this little track through the trees. My heart was beating so fast, and I was scared by every little bird rustling in the bushes. I can't tell you how pleased I was when we got to the top, and I could hear human voices. We enjoyed our picnic whilst watching the dragonflies and taking in the spectacular views.  The scent from the rose-garden carried in the wind. (I was impressed that one called Radox Bloom even smelt like itchy soap)!  There was an eco-sculpture of two cranes and behind them a trail of colourful painted cranes snaked their way along the fence. Some totem-poles that seemed to be undergoing repairs. There were also toilet facilities and a resturant called Horizons. Thankfully we followed the nature trail back down, which was a compromise between the road or a tiny track like on the way up.

Hi Guys, Looks like a great place to get close to nature! also looks like the weather is holding up for you.

Enjoy the traveling, look forward to catching the next chapter. Gordon & Pam
