Snorkel & Scuba

Phi Phi is fantastic, I think morning is more better because by afternoon all the fast boats with the daytrippers arrive (too much crowd). You could also try Hin Bida (shark point) south of Phi Phi Ley. There you will find leopard sharks, nurse sharks and reef sharks. For turtles try Ko Bida Nok. Also beautiful is Koh Similan. Koh Ma right off Koh Phangan is great for snorkeling. Most of these are even more to be enjoyed by scuba, so try if you can to acquire PADI open-water before you arrive.

Ok, now the important part - the best bar. LOL. This is a most difficult question, because there are so many to enjoy. If you stay on Phuket, then go to Patong for the nightlife. However, be warned that it is not for everyone. I think there are too many Farangs. Better to party, I believe is Haad Rin on Koh Phangan. You may know it for the full moon party. Anyway, the people are from the world over, you can make many friends, and enjoy music from House to D&B to reggae to Techno to Trance to Jungle to ... As you will probably connect by Bangkok, try some of the big clubs (narcissus, glow, bed, etc) which are quite nice, but I'd avoid Patpong.
