After rocking up round midnight  we managed to score here- managing to get a double room with bathroom for 60 yuan (10 bucks) so stayed 3 nights... even though we werent in the middle of town, we were inside the old town walls. This was basically a giant version on Pingyao-and much more modern. On our first day we hit the town centre, seeing the sights and FINALLY  getting our hands on a Mandarin language book!...made our lives alot easier and ended the many guessing games!! We had to try out the local street food- kebabs are big here, so we both tried the deep fried chicken kebabs. Kicked ass over KFC chicken! plus you can add extra spices which we naturally helped ourselves to! The Muslin Quarter is the place to head, otherwise the street leading to the bell tower is where we got ours.

The following day we got a bus out to see the Terracotta Warriors. We went  on a chinese tour, which was so informative (hehe) and stopped at alot of other attractions that was passed on...we finally got the the Warriors which were set in two seperate buildings. We went to the main one first...they are still in the pits in which they were found, many more of the warriors are still buried... it was amazing to see all the workmanship that went into creating this army...
