Lost in Brussels

We got into Brussels and our first impression wasn't good. It seemed a bit sketchy. We took the metro to the station the directions said to get off at. We didn't have good directions and wandered around Brussels for almost 2 hours in the heat with our big bags looking for our hostel. Not fun, especially when we found out that it was 5 minutes in the opposite way we walked, we could almost see it from the station. Anyway, as soon as we got there pretty much we met a bunch of people who were going to a bar, so we decided to join them. It was a crazy bar with over 2000 kinds of beer! We tried strawberry and apple beer. Belgium has some delicious beer. It was a lot of fun, a really interesting place

The next day we went to a little french fry stand and had some delicious fries. Then we walked up to the Grand Place and looked around. They were taking down a big concert of some sort, so that kind of ruined the image of it but oh well. Then we walked to the Mannekin Pis and on our way back we bought a delicious Belgian waffle. Then we just kind of wandered around, we walked through a big arcade area and then went to a really nice park and hung out there for a bit. Then we went back to our hostel and caught a train to Brugge. It was our first time using our rail passes and we accidently sat in first class and got kicked out and we ended up having to sit on the floor. Good times.
