our ferry
..Lori learned that one the hard way our first day in Ios haha. We left Athens very early in the morning to catch our 7:30am ferry. It was brutal. We didn't have assigned seats so we just sat wherever we could find. The ferry didn't get to Ios until 5pm so that was a loong day. It was soo hot on the ferry too, we slept on the floor. When we got to Ios we were picked up by the Francesco's shuttle bus along with a few other new arrivals. Lori and I wanted to go to the beach but the guy just laughed at us and said that noone would be there. We didn't yet know the Ios lifestyle.
So we checked in and went to our room. Our room was private with our own bathroom for only 15 euros! It was awesome. At 11ish we went down to the bar at our hostel where we met a bunch of guys from Alberta, BC and the states. We started talking to them and then we all went to the bar Sunset for some more pre drinking. Before that though we all went to get some gyros, which are a great way to start the night haha. After that I don't remember what bars we went to, I know we finished at Sweet Irish..I think we also went to Flames and Shamrock and a couple others. Can't really remember what else. Lori drank so much so fast that she went to bed at like 1:30am..I didn't get in intil 5 or 6 I think. Good first night in Ios I'd say..
