Basel, but not by choice
So we left Brugge on our way to Lucerne, Switzerland with a reservation at Lucerne Backpackers..or so we thought. We had reserved online and when we phoned them to say we would be later than 5 they told us our reservation wasn't until the next night..they screwed up and they were also booked up so we had to get off the train in Basel and try and find somewhere to stay. Luckily Basel Backpackers had room, but it was a Friday night so it was a bit of a waste as the hostel was really boring and the people were pretty sketchy. The beds were really comfortable though, that was the only good thing. The only people we met were some creepy Swiss guys that asked us if we wanted to smoke some weed with them. It was pretty weird.
