Cobblestones and Nature
June 18, 2007
If i could describe Rothenburg in one word, it would be "magical." Rothenburg, however, could and would never be described in one word, but several, like amazing, fantastic, mysterious, enchanting, and unimaginable. If a story of any stereotypical fairytale were set into reality, this would be the town it would be based in. When i walk out of my hotel and turn left, i head straight for the town square, where the rathaus stands and the christmas museum. seeing ornaments and wooden clocks isn't so special (for men at least), but standing at the walled city center gaping with your mouth wide open must mean this place is really special. i would say visit rothenburg for the museums and the people, but i would be lying. the museums are kind of boring and there are almost no locals (save for the shop clerks). however, i would be telling the truth by saying travel to rothenburg for the natural beauty as well as architechtural style. every bit of it is as though i was living in a dream.
