I'm in Chile for the semester finishing up my International Minor in Engineering (Latin America) by taking classes on Latin America's culture, music, history, etc. I'm also rapidly becoming more fluent in Spanish!

A Day at the Beach

I'm hosting a a conversation table here where students from UBB can come and speak in English with me to practice. One guy from my class decided that it was his job to show Kelly and me everything in Concepción that we haven't seen. Friday night we went to a place that was about two blocks filled with bars and discotechs (maybe about 20 bars in total?). Today we went to the beach with 10 of his friends. We hung out for 9 hours! I'm a little pink now, but it was worth it. It was a beautiful day, and I had fun watching everyone play volleyball. I learned today that there are tons of different beaches around the Concepción area. We went to a private beach, which was nice because it wasn't crowded and it was clean (apparently the public beaches aren't as nice). I'm hoping to see a few more beaches before I leave!
