I'm in Chile for the semester finishing up my International Minor in Engineering (Latin America) by taking classes on Latin America's culture, music, history, etc. I'm also rapidly becoming more fluent in Spanish!

Day 4 Pachamama by Bus

First stop today was Pan de Azúcar national park. The park had a nice beach and a cacterium, which we stopped to see. There are also some pretty crazy rock formations in the park. After the park we ate lunch at a truck stop in the middle of nowhere. The food was good, and best of all, cheap! After lunch we went to a fairly large cemetery where all the locals who had been poisoned by mining run-off were buried. Next we stopped at the Mano del Desierto and took photos. We arrived into Antofagasta and saw the Portada which is the only famous part of the city. The hotel was reather disappointing as was the city, so I ended up watching Dr. House and Love Actually.
