Lenga

I'm in Chile for the semester finishing up my International Minor in Engineering (Latin America) by taking classes on Latin America's culture, music, history, etc. I'm also rapidly becoming more fluent in Spanish!
Outside of Concepción along the ocean there's an area called Lenga that is a few square blocks of restaurants. The specialities are seafood empanadas (about 400-500 pesos c/u) and many other seafood dishes. Seafood empanadas definitely have a different flavor, but they are good (not quite as good as pino empanadas though). The location of Lenga is great and the view is beautiful along the ocean. The only downside is that it's a little tough to get to unless you have a car as the micros can take over an hour to get there.
