I'm in Chile for the semester finishing up my International Minor in Engineering (Latin America) by taking classes on Latin America's culture, music, history, etc. I'm also rapidly becoming more fluent in Spanish!

Bike Ride and Klub Killer

We rented bikes from our hostel today I went out for 4 hours. I was a little disappointed as on the tourist map it shows that all along the river are "green" areas, but these areas all turned out to be shipping areas. This meant that instead of 4 hours in parks we spent 2 hours dodging trucks and cranes. Looking back from the safety of my hostel I'm glad we went, because I got to see a part of Buenos Aires that many tourists never see.
After our bike ride we showered and went out to eat and see a movie as we wanted to go out, but nothing's open before midnight, and nothing really starts hopping until 2 am. We ended up at a club near our hostel around midnight because a flyer we saw said it was happy hour from 12-1. Unfortunately this wasn't true, but there were still a fair amount of people there and the drinks were pretty cheap. I especially liked it because the only music they played was rock, which was a great change from all the 80s love everywhere else in South America.

Good place to hang out, but not a place to dance. I enjoyed the music (international rock), and the drinks were reasonably priced. There's no sign outside to tell you that the club's there, you have to ring the bell and someone will come to let you in. The staff are really friendly even if they're not the most efficient at making drinks.
