It’s time to enjoy the Taiwanese seaside town of Danshui

Danshui is located about a 45 minute train ride away from the Taipei Main station on the MRT.

Upon arriving there we discovered the day was very very hot.  38 degrees (102 Fahrenheit) which was way too hot to walk around in so we sat down at a nearby cafe for some coffee and donought's hoping the weather may cool down or it would be cooler walking by the seaside.

We proceeded down to the seaside to follow the promenade and it was a little bit cooler but still very very hot so we didn't walk far before sitting down to rest in the shade.  We decided to head back and go shopping in the air conditioning as it was way too hot.  We all agreed to wait to come back out to Danshui another day when it was cooler and we could enjoy it more.

So we got a taxi and headed to Tianmu circle with its many cafes, restaurants and shopping malls.  We had lunch at Chili's on the second floor of Mitsukoshi "B" Building.

We then browsed around the department stores while there was a big thunderstorm.

Finally we decided to get a taxi back to the train station so we could get a train back to our hotel.

Later than night around 9pm after some dinner when it had cooled down after the thunderstorm we headed out for some shopping around the Taipei main station area.

We decided to start out later the next morning in case it was going to be hot again.
