THE PERFECT TOILET - Geno's worlds collide
September 22, 2009
If you've read my blogs you'll know a few things.
Firstly, I'm fascinated with toilets, secondly im fascinated with Windows and finally - I really had a great time in Ukraine.
Well on this particular day my world's collided and it topped off what really was a superb holiday.
It was my first night in Odessa and I was excited to be there. I was invited out to dinner at the Steakhouse by some people I'd met on the bus.
It turned out to be an excellent restaurant with superb food and service to match it.
But the real clincher was before leaving I went to the toilet and discovered this masterpiece.
There were so many things about this toilet it was quite overwhelming. I was in there for about 10 minutes admiring it all and trying to photograph it with my phone.
To start with it was very well designed, slick and clean.
The entire room was wallpapered in photos of windows: the floors, the ceiling and the walls.
The floor was a clear plastic floating floor over the wallpapered floor.
A very cool effect.
But seeing my two photographic focuses rolled into one was really quite a gem.
And in a steak house too no doubt!
It really was the perfect day, the perfect trip and this now stands as my most perfect toilet.
Get along to Ukraine and check it out. I'm sure you'll love it as much as I did.

Great restaurant in the heart of Odessa
This place was right in the centre of Odessa on the main street and it blew me away.
The service was exceptional with staff that were professional, friendly, courteous and spoke excellent english.
The place was well set up, open and stylish. The clientele were mostly tourists and foreigners.
The food was exquisite -well prepared and cooked perfectly.
I judge a place on their finer details and they didn't disappoint. The coffee was excellent and served with the finest selection of raw sugars i've ever seen. The wine glasses were fantastic big crystal goblets and the steak was seared with the word 'medium rare' stamped onto the flesh.
