Festival of light - Diwali

The first great joy of traveling is simply the luxury of leaving all our beliefs and certainties at home, and seeing everything we thought we knew in a different light, and from a crooked angle. We travel, then, in search of both self and anonymity -- and, of course, in finding the one we apprehend the other. That is why the best trips, travels , backpacking etc. like the best love affairs, never really end.

Festival of light - Diwali

Diwali aka Deepavali is a major Hindu festival that is very significant in Hinduism, Sikhism and Jainism. Known as the “Festival of Lights,” it symbolises the victory of good over evil, and lamps are lit as a sign of celebration and hope for mankind. Celebrations focus on lights and lamps, particularly traditional diyas .

Fireworks are associated with the festival in many regions of India.

Deepavali is Sanskrit word and Diwali is in hindi. However, both names literally translated mean the same, which is “row of lights”.

Wish you all "Happy Diwali"
