my little traveling companions, checking out some cool rocks.Zion N.P.
My youngest two daughters and I set out for an adventure, it was time to dissapear from the daily grind, and enjoy some nature. So we packed up everything but the kitchen sink, and headed out to see some national parks, visit some friends, and just get away from it all. Leaving our home in Oregon, we traveled up I-5 to I-84 towards eastern Oregon, then through Idaho; then down into Utah, our favorite from destination from last summer. We really enjoy the beautiful rock formations in Bryce Canyon N.P. We grabbed the free shuttle bus there, and enjoyed not having to drive; and being able to see some wildlife, we would jump off at each stop, and there was always another shuttle along within 15 minutes, it was really nice. After our day at Zion, and Bryce, we spent a night at the Beaver, Ut. KOA, renting a cabin for the night, the girls had fun swimming, while I enjoyed watching them have a good time.
The following day we packed up and headed off to Moab, where we roughed it at a motel 6 ;o) The following morning we got an early start, remembering how hot it was there last summer, we didn't want to do all our hiking in the warmest part of the day, as it hit over 100.
