The Hollywood sign in the background
Saturday night I spent with the women of my family. Once a year I grab a bus from El Monte with my mom, my niece, my grandma and my two aunts and ride to the Hollywood Bowl to see a show. The drinks are horrible expensive. Theres a million people and it goes from oppressively hot to slightly cold but I wouldn't chnge it for a thing.
The show was to see John Williams, a famous conductor, conducting the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra. They would be performing songs from movies. Such as, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Superman and even older films like Lawrence of Arabia. It was very neat trying to figure out which songs were which. Towards the end they played the music from Star Wars and people who had purchased light up light sabers started swaying them in the crowd. They did several encores and it was a a very nice time. They figured out all the lights on the Bowl and made different colors to different songs. Such as red and blue for Superman. They made the whole thing look like a rainbow at the end. It was very nice looking. We made it out and down to the bus with seconds to spare as we were the last passengers to get on the bus.
