The beautiful sunset at Balboa with the palm trees
So my brother decided he wanted to go fishing this past Friday and invited me, our friend George and my dad George for a little trip down to Balboa Pier to fish. We got there around 8 at night and were able to find good parking. The beach was clearing out the sky was beautiful. The sunset soon after we arrived and left a stream of color through the sky.
We grabbed our crappy fishing poles and headed out. We found a bench and a nice man who cut some bait for us (we were slightly unprepared) then set out our lines and waited.. and waited and waited. Then sun had set and it was beginning to get chillier and the pier was full of fisherman and woman. Suddenly George caught a sand shark. Then Greg caught a crab and a fish at the same time. Then George again with a sand shark and then a crab. Finally I caught a baby baby fish and let him go. Next I caught a crab and then i was done for.  We clered out about 1 in the morning. The pier officially closed at midnight but there were no cops to make us leave. There was a group having a bonfire on the beach and usually they are cleared off by 10:00 but they were still there as well. It was a nice night and a god way to spend a random friday night.
