San Felipe de Neri Church on the Plaze in Old Town area of Albuquerque.

It's hard to write about a trip in which so much of the activity was family related.

On Friday I did get some time to go exploring, so I headed down to Old Town and the Plaza in downtown Albuquerque.  A nice area, but I have to admit I liked the plaza in Santa Fe much better from an earlier trip I had made several years ago.  Also wandered down along the Rio Grande for a bit.  In the  evening (after free drinks at the hotel - see review) went to the Sandia Casino with my parents and some other family members and frittered away some money.

Sat was the wedding and a grand time was had by all.  Congrats to my cousin Jennifer and her new husband Jason.  Some storms rolled through town on Sat night, and one thing I remember from my earlier trip to the area was how fascinating it is to watch them.  From the right vantage points you can see for miles and watching the lightning strikes flash through the sky is always a site to behold (provided you're not in danger from getting struck yourself - but that's a story for a blog not yet written).

Sun was another day spent among various family activities.  Lots of stuff going on, but not much to really report.  Dinner at a Japanese hibachi steakhouse was a fun outing to close out the trip.
