After reading (and loving) Angels and Demons by Dan Brown (The Da Vinci code author)we just had to go on the Angels and Demons Tour in Rome. (we missed out on the Da Vinci Code tour in Paris!)
We started in the Piazza Del Popolo in a group of about 20, with an American guide.
She relayed the book along the way and we basically followed the trail around the city that Robert Langdon took in the book stopping at all the important sites and travelling by minibus and on foot.
Stops included:
- Santa Maria del Popolo Church (Piazza del Popolo)
- St. Peter's square
- Santa Maria della Vittoria Church (Largo di Santa Susanna)
- Pantheon
- Piazza della Minerva
- Piazza Navona
- Castel Sant’Angelo and “il Passetto”
The guide was very informative and not only told us about the book but informed us about some of the history of the sties we visited as well.
€ 54,00 each and well worth it!
includes:
- One tour guide
- All the transfers by minibus
-Coffee break at the Pantheon
-The map of Illuminati
- Castel Sant'Angelo entrance ticket
