Florence - Tuscany at it's best....
July 10, 2007
Florence is the capital city of Tuscany and lies on the Arno river. It is a beautiful city with it's orange roofs and neumorous Basillicasand churches. The main attraction is the Duomo at the Santa Maria del Fiore.
I wanted to come here because it is where the movie Hannibal was filmed and a lot of it's attractions were featured in the movie.

Il Bargello is located in Piazza della Signoria directley in frount of the Palazzo Vecchio (town hall). There are around 130 seats inside in 2 seperate dining areas as well as around 30 outside which is where we sat.
Surrounded by a pretty iron fence with flower baskets hanging off it and lovely old lights in each corner, you get the feeling of the old city.
The Piazza and the Palazzo Vecchio add to the atmosphere and are equally as pretty especially at night.
The menu is tipically Itallian with lots of pasta, pizzas, meat, fish and vegetables. We had pizze which was huge and very tasty.
