Forollhogna National Park comprise an area of practically untouched mountains surrounded by valleys with homesteads and still activ mountain farms.  The national Park and the adacent landscapes consiting a unicue entry with a broad spectrum of values to be protected. Mount Forollhogna rises 1332 meters above sea level, and is the highest mountain in a wavy. mountainous landscape.

The soil fertile and disingreats easily.  This ground nurtures a varied and interesting flora and fauna, with several unicue or rare species.  The many wetlands offer great conditions for varied spices of birds.  The national park is particulary well known for its productive reindeer population and large reindeer bucks.  If your ar lucky you can meet some of them while mountain climbing.
