Day trip to Batu Caves
October 25, 2006
The following morning I woke up
at about 7:00 (so I only had about 5 hours sleep), to quickly go and
see the famous Petronas Twin Towers, and by god they were an awesome
site. I'd have to say that it’s probably the most beautiful modern
architecture I have seen.
I hurried back to my hotel to meet up with Elyse, Will and Marc to head off to the Batu caves 13km out of town. The bus ride was quick and only cost 2RM. We toured the famous Batu caves, which contained multiple Hindu shrines, and a packet load of tourists.
After touring for about 2 hours we headed back to the bus stop, and all of a sudden it started to piss down. My original plans of touring the city was delayed as it continually rained. However as soon as the heavens calmed down a bit I bolted for the old train station, the central mosque and a few other old buildings located within walking distance from the hotel.
