It finally happened

After 15 days of traveling around the old west, we finally had enough of forts, historic battles and scenic overviews.  We wandered into downtown Cheyenne to try the “historic walking tour” and saw a few interesting buildings and some large painted boot sculptures.  However, it was just too much and too many days of traveling so instead we did normal everyday things.  We went shopping at the local mall and went to see a movie.  There are times when normal life feels like a vacation. . . .hmm. . guess we needed a vacation from the vacation.

Anyway we needed to rest up.  Tomorrow is the big day when we go to the dude ranch and join other members of our family.  Two grandsons and their parents are going to be with us for four days riding horses, tubing down the Laramie River, fly fishing and maybe even learning how to lasso things.  (You never know when a skill like lassoing will come in handy,)  Should be fun and I’m really looking forward to it.

So nice to share a journey with you again, Pam. Hope that we are able to reconnect in September!
