The summer heat is beginning to get to us so we're going to a Colorado ranch and the Dakota Badlands for a change of scenery (and hopefully of temperatures also). There will be at least one photo each day of either sunrise or sunset. (Unless somebody reschedules sunrise, sunset photos are much more likely.)

Florida sunset after a storm

I've got a check list of things to do before my husband and I travel and today's the day to do all the boring stuff on that list. The packing, at least, is high drama. . . pressure to get things washed, mended and ready, but most traumatic of all. . . just identifying what we need to take. The list helps but there's always something that we should have with us and don't. The fact that we pack light so we don't have to lug heavy suitcases and that I put a priority on my camera stuff - all this adds to the suspense of packing.

Anyway, first I'm going to post photos of Florida sunsets (from my house and also from Key West) and worry about the packing later. (I need to practice on posting sunsets right? This kind of logic explains why I usually pack in about 15 minutes. . . .that's all the time left after I finish puttering around with other things.)
