Dogs and kids cooling off in the hot afternoon sun
Here at lake Kokanne, We love to have picnic's,let the dogs and kids cool off in the hot afternoon sun, and play in our boats or rafts. The water here is glacier water, so it is extremely cold even on the hottest days. Later at night we can relax by a big camp fire, tell ghost stories, play telephone, and different games. Every now and then we will get a creature that comes out of the brush, and chase the kids around and give them a good scare. We love to play practical jokes on people. One of the best one's were locking mom and dad in there trailer, and letting off a fart bomb inside and bungy cording the doors shut. Pewu. Dad broke the bungie cord and came after the offending party. Another was taking there matrice off there bed and hiding it in someone's tent.
Grandpa Telling Ghost stories
Nothing like expecting a soft bed to lay your weary head on and finding nothing but hard board. We have also done fear factor with the kids. Taken them to the lake at night, on a fake snipe hunt. and have people pop out of trees and bushes at them. They have seen big foot and alliens. Had the port a potties rocked on the adults, open cans of sardines stuck under car seats, cloths thrown up in the tree's, smoke bombs thrown into tents, and more fart bombs. we have a rubber chicken that we would go to other camp sites and use this and it's awful dying noise to scare unexpected camper. If you get into trouble at the camp you get to do lots of hard labor like hauling wood, and dish details. There are lots of trails to take the ATV's and dirt bikes, and a beautiful river to watch the eagles soar. This is the most relaxing place to be in the summer and the best investment our parents have made for us. Lots of memories,to pass on to the next generation. If you look closely at the picture with the ghost next to joe. that was taken on a night we were telling ghost stories, I was shocked to see this. and when blown up it looks like a ghost of a cowboy.
