Hatcher's Richmond Manor

Our next stop is Richmond, a gorgeous historical village about half an hour out of Hobart. Hatcher’s Richmond Manor is where we will be laying our heads this evening. This place is seriously hideous. It could have been a good idea, but it all went terribly wrong. The gardens and orchards the Manor stands in are stunning but the Manor itself is gaudy and horrible. The outside looks cute when you first see it but when you take a look inside and see the design and decoration well let’s just say, don’t have a rich lunch before visiting. We stayed in the Wedgewood Suite located in the tower, with walls painted Wedgewood blue and white ‘decorations’ adorning the walls, well the best that can be said is, yuk! A fully cooked breakfast was served in the breakfast room where you dine with the other guests of the manor at a large dining room table; breakfast was delicious but again the setting left a lot to be desired. Aqua blue plush carpets, scarlet red chairs, a table cloth that... well best you take a look at the photo, hideous, and all the furniture was miss matched with pine and dark wood, oh, it was just awful. I don’t want to say anymore.

This was the only night we had fast food for dinner, heading into Sorrel for McDonalds.
