Ios
Ios is known as the party island and in our resort there were two pools that played music allll day and a bar that had cheap 2 for 1 cocktails, so really we spent a lot of time doing this!!
The Australia vs Italy game was watched by over 100 Aussies cheering and chanting in front of a big screen and doing our best to encourage the Socceroos which was fun - but we all know how it ended.
We also did a pub crawl in the town which was kind of insane as the bars were so small and packed! Our accommodation was in a hut (as pictured) however this while very cheap, did not give a lot of protection from the heat, bugs, wind and the falling dirt debris!!
We made the most of it nonetheless, and still had a fantastic time in Ios, swimming, chilling out, drinking, swimming, chilling out, drinking, swimming, chilling out, drinking....you get the idea!
Our ferry on the 4th day was cancelled due to high winds, so we spent an extra night and left very early the next morning. We met some great Melbourne boys (from Carey!) and were sad to say goodbye but knew we would catch up with them in Santorini...
