Cesky Krumlov
Aaaah Cesky Krumlov!! Its hard not to fall in love with this little town in the Czech Republic!!
Had a great time here, it was so good to spend 4 days anywhere, but even better to spend some time chilling out in this laid back town. Even better, Steph and I ordered a twin room, and ended up with this awesome little villa in the tower part of a bridge just outside the hostel....far away from any yahoos and snorers!!!
Spent a lot of time just wandering around the town, sipping cappuccinos by the river and taking it all in.
We visited the Cesky Krumlov Castle, which overlooks the town, and climbed the tower for a great view. We were both a bit upset by the bear pit in the castle moat...two bears stuck in a very small concreted area, but tried to put it out of our minds and walked around the lovely castle gardens - where Steph came across 2 toy poodles wearing matching silk full-body suits with their names on the side! Classic!!
Had a couple of great nights on the drink.
.. a big one to say goodbye to our mates, where one of the Canadians insisted we all do Gold Tequilla shots, like slammers, except with cinnamon and orange as the accompaniments, and another with the owner of the hostel, who organised a good old BBQ (in which the alpha male burns all the sausages and then tells the females not to whinge about it!) and we played the 'I never...' drinking game.Also...saw the BEST pair of gumboots I have seen in MY LIFE. The shop owners insisted they were only kids sizes... I am desperate for them!!!! Please, if anyone knows where I can get some let me know!!! I've tried Ebay!
