Bruges

This was never going to be a stop-over - but i am SO GLAD that it was. Bruges is beautiful!!!!!
I loved the town, the cobbled streets, the sweet little shops, the canals, boats, swans and ducks...and cyclists everywhere! It was a beautiful place to wander around and explore!
We climbed the Belfry to get an overview of the town, visited a Belgian chocolatiers and investigated the local cuisine - Belgian waffles and fries! We enjoyed our waffles by the canal and just really chilled out in the gorgeous town. We also visited 'Madonna and Child' by Michaelangelo, which was quite lovely.
