Trip to Prague Airport

My mom and me at the airport

It was the 11th of July. The day started very early for me. I think it was before 6 am when I left my appartment, uh. And why would I have to get myself up so early? Let me tell you the story.

My sister had to get to Manchester that day. A couple of days before that I was trying to buy a plane ticket for her from anywhere in Poland to Manchester. It had to be a direct flight since my sister had never travelled alone before...and probably any of the european airports would seem endlessly huge and totally complicated for her (plus our mom was even more scared to let her go on a connecting flight). So you see, it had to be a direct flight. And guess what...that day there was none, zero flights from Poland to Manchester, hm. And then I found this flight (connecting) from Warsaw to Prague and then to Manchester. My mom told me to buy the ticket for this flight....but not from Warsaw...from Prague:). I bought it.

Coming back to the 11th of July...yes I was going to Prague that day, taking my sister to the airport. It is only 400 km away from our home...no problem, we were leaving early enough to make it on time...and even with some spare time. Hm, you know what happens sometimes when you HAVE TO get somewhere on time and it is far away and you are leaving early...but apparently not early enough. Well, how was I supposed to know that there was going to be a traffic jam on our way. It is not that obvious...yeah, I know, one should always take such things into consideration.

So there we were, already in Czech Republic but still a long way from the airport, time was running and the cars were not moving, hello. One km earlier we were passing  a little road. I told my dad to turn around. I've decided we would do some sight seeing and getting to know of the lovely and curvy roads in this country (let me tall you, there were twists and then bends and then twists again and then some curves for a change, hehe:))) so imagine how fast we were going... The countryside is so lovely in Czech Republic though;). And, yeah, we were moving forward as opposed to those optimistic people back there in the traffic jam, who were just taking it easy;).

Okay, to make the long story short. After we have seen enough of the countryside, we got on a wider road ;) which was to take us to the Prague Airport. And it did. We made it to the airport exactly 40 minutes before the flights departure (who said you have to be in the airport 2 hours before your flight). My sister was going to England...I wanna go too.
