I just had to write down quickly all about the most perfect day i think i've had in a long time.  just mix 30 degree weather, camping in lauterbrunnen, right at the bottom of the jungfrau mountain in switzerland, canyoning for a whole day, swimming in interlaken, with the red-bull air show on, then playing in snow in the mountains on the way back home, then watching the most amazing sunset over the lake in arth-goldau! it was amazing.  so i was with davo and we were in the great company of an american girl and 2 swiss guys.  so we woke up early, and headed into the adventure company for a day of canyoning.  this basically is heading through canyons created by a river, jumping off 10m cliffs into deep pools, sliding down waterfalls, abseiling, sliding, bouncing off rocks... crazy stuff.  i was so scared for most of it, but became better as the day wore on. i would definitely do it again, next time i find another 200 dollars! after this we went back and had beer and lunch at the bar/tent village at the adventure place, then went walking into a hostel in interlaken where we went swimming in the pool, as it was so hot.  this was all while watching aerobatic planes and helicopters for the air show there.  so at about 6.30pm we went back to the car to drive home, however the road directly to zurich was quite full, so we took the scenic route through the mountain, with the most breathtaking scenery, mountains still with a bit of snow on them, cows, chalets, lakes.  we stopped and went running around in the snow in our thongs (flip-flops!) at one stage.  So as we were nearing arth-goldau, on the way to zurich, we stopped again by the lake and watched the bright orange sunset, and could see a planet as it went down.

So there you have it- my perfect day.  now i'm still sore from all that canyoning, with sore muscles and bruises, but it was definitely worth it!
