A lazy weekend

This really was a lazy weekend, we haven't done a great deal of anything constructive. At one point Emma observed that the most useful things she had done all day were write a post card and cut her toe nails. Sometimes its important to have a break from the routine - all this sightseeing and exploring can be quite stressful!
Yesterday we had a wander around the town, we had a walk to the big water tower we had seen looming over town each day. It really was big and we wondered why it has to be stored above ground? Any suggestions let us know? We spent the afternoon sampling the local brews. First stop the Mildura Brewery, it was quite a good bar with all the brewing tanks on show at the back of the bar. We have decided that there isn't much else to do here apart from check out the pubs. After a few in here and a few in the next pub we were almost tempted to go to McDonalds but then our ethics kicked in and we headed to a pasta restaurant.
Today we spent much of it watching the cricket - finally England have won something, they beat Australia for the 3rd time to win the tri series trophy! Its quite funny watching the cricket on TV over here - if just for the adverts - they are so anti 'Pom' (in a fun way)! Slogans such as "Lets tonk a pom" or "Lets smash them Poms!"
