The dull side of travelling

Our luxury room in Mildura Stop Over

Yesterday was a day of jobs.  It's funny how we have got into this routine of having a 'jobs' day before we leave each place.  Laundry, post office, e-mails, etc.  We also booked our bus tickets for Wednesday to Broken Hill; we are really looking forward to our trip into the outback.

We have become quite lethargic here in Mildura, partly because of the heat, and partly because the town is not very compact and takes ages to walk anywhere. It reminds us of Milton Keynes without quite as many roundabouts, just miles of long wide roads; it's definitely a place that is better explored by car or bike.  We have found it easier to expore big cities on foot than this place! So we have spent much of our last two days reading at the hostel, and starting to plan a few things ready for our Asia leg of the trip.
