A bike ride to the beach

Today we took advantage of the hostel's offer of free bikes and headed off towards the beach.  A boardwalk has been built along one of the sides of the harbour, so we cycled along here and came to two beaches.  One was in a man made harbour and so was calm and sheltered, with part of the water netted for swimmers.  The other beach was right on the ocean with wild waves and a stong breeze.  We parked the bikes and had an hour on the wild beach.

Slowly made our way back seeing loads of fish in the water on the way.  Called at the pub for a beer on the way back and had a frugal tea of beans and egg on toast - its hard being on such a tight budget.
