Yay! Back on the beach!
Now just to keep you updated on the weather situation - it has finally stopped raining! Yippee! Today we awoke to blue sky and sunshine. After breakfast we headed straight for the beach and set up our towels in the sun. It was nice to get back to having some purpose to our day(i.e. lying on the beach), the rain really made us feel like we were just wasting our days - and we don't want that to be the case. After a while we went into the sea and it was wonderfully warm. Right at the edge it was like getting into a hot bath. Thankfully, as you walked further in, it was slightly cooler (about 31 degrees C) and gave some respite from the heat of the sun.
After a few hours we retired to the shade of our balcony and read there for a while, before having a walk around Sairee village and a look around a few shops. It's good to be able to relax at the moment (we know most of you think we have been doing that since September!) before we start travelling again.
We have booked ourselves onto a fundive for tomorrow morning so had a relaxing evening. We finally got to watch the sun set over the sea. We ate our tea at one of the beach restaurants and sat soaking up the calm atmosphere before having an early night - tomorrow we go diving at 7.15am.
