As Emma and I are doing Xmas dinner tomorrow we had a few last minute preparations today. After morning coffee at a cafe on the front we went and got all the fresh food for tomorrow. We spent the rest of the afternoon wrapping presents and relaxing. Never has the run up to Christmas been so laid back.
In the evening we went to the Icebergs restaurant, a posh place overlooking the beach and the ocean. The view was spectacular - definitely one of the best in Bondi. We had cocktails to start off with and then went through to the restaurant where we ate much food and drank much wine. We can definitely say that it was the poshest meal we have ever had - the service was excellent. At one point Emma left the table part way through the main course and whilst she was gone the waiter came and folded her napkin and placed a cover over her food to keep it warm. Wow! Dave and Diane shared a Siscilian trifle that could have fed the whole restaurant. We could have all done with being carried out we were that full. It somehow seemed to be a very appropriate place to spend Christmas eve.
