....everybody needs good neighbours"
We succumbed to the ultimate cheesiest tour this morning - The Official Neighbour's Tour. We were picked up at 8.15am by the big bus with neighbours all over it (we were glad it picked us up round the corner from the hostel). On the bus we were treated to a selection of music videos from past neighbours stars - Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan, Craig McLachlan, Stefan Dennis, and many more - whilst we picked all the other 'fans' up from around the city. When the bus was full we set off to Erinsborough, watching an old episode of the show - the one where Daphne dies - it was quite sad back then, but today it was just hysterical!
First stop was Erinsborough High - although we hardly recognised it but took a photo anyway! Next stop was Global Studios where all the inside scenes are filmed.
Back on the bus and off to the ultimate Neighbours destination - Ramsey Street! Actually called Pin Oak Court and real people live there, they were pottering around their gardens when we arrived. We got pictures of the houses, held the Ramsey Street sign - it was like being in an episode of the show!
Back on the bus and we headed back to the city, this time watching a 20th anniversary programme introduced by Andi Peters. Then watched Scott and Charlene's wedding... "Suddenly..." and all that - eee memories!
Later that afternoon after all that cheese we couldn't bring ourselves to do too much - how could anything ever compare! We called at the market for food for tea then had a look around a church with a very gothic design. It was very grand inside, we even saw a monk! We stayed in here for a while as it was very cool, outside the temperature had reached 34 degrees today.
Later that evening we watched England finally, finally beat Australia at the cricket!
