Shopping in Bangkok

The giant MBK shopping centre

As we had opted for in staying the shopping area of  Bangkok we felt we should do it justice and so spent the last 2 days looking round the vast air conditioned shopping centres.  The MBK shopping centre was truly remarkable.  It was a bit like a posh indoor market, with bargains galore!  It was also a fast food lovers heaven.  Six weeks travelling around Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia had obviously taken its toll on our morals - we had lunch at McDonalds!  We also called back at Koh San Rd to get see what other bargains we could pick up.  The shops and market stalls here are a bargain hunters dream come true.  I'm sure if it hadn't been so hot we would have spent a lot more money!

In the evening we headed to the train station to get on the night train to Chumphon.
