Rain

Emma and picnic

When it rains in Vancouver it really rains!  Yesterday we just hung around the hostel for much of the day  - stayed in the lounge reading.  By late afternoon it had finally stopped raining so we headed out for further explorations of downtown.

Today we got extremely wet as we made the terrible decision to walk to Granville Island (no we can't walk on water - there is a bridge).  It really rained - trousers stuck to us, wind nearly blew us off the bridge - it was harsh!  After drying off with a coffee and listening to one of the local buskers we went to get some supplies for our hotel room picnic tonight, so off we wandered - Emma with shopping list in hand!  Olives, hummus, pita, olive bread, salad, cheese, garlic and pepper roast beef - a feast!  Got bath tub back, got bottle of wine and headed back for indoor picnic.

It was good as many a meal out (well almost), sat on the floor in the hotel room nibbling all our grub and sipping the vino!
