Robinson Waterfall

Today after a lazy morning we decided to go for a walk in the forest.  There is a waterfall not far from the town so not wanting to do anything over strenous we decided to head for that.  We set off in glorious sunshine and walked through the town towards the start of the path.  We were soon in the forest and it was an interesting place to walk with all the different types of trees, and many exotic bird sounds.  It's not really a jungle when compared to the Amazon or Borneo but it still had quite a tropical feel to it.  We reached the waterfall which was.. hmm.. like a waterfall.  We decided to explore a little further so carried on along the path deeper into the forest.  After about an hour's walking and not really knowing where the path led to we decided to turn back.

Pretty soon the heavens really opened as they seem to do every afternoon here.  We took shelter under the trees for a while but it gradually got heavier and heavier, we had no choice but to get wet - very wet.  It was literally like a sheet of water for about 2 hours and as you can imagine by the time we got back to the guesthouse we were slightly damp.

In the evening we headed into town and discovered a small food market selling some delicious looking snacks.  We had some samosas and pakoras before going for what can only be described as the worst Chinese meal in the history of Chinese food.  It came as a bit of a shock as we have had nothing but great food here, but the soggy rice and raw pork did nothing for us.
