Last few days
We have spent our last few days on the island of Ko Tao in pretty much the same way have we have the previous. You will be pleased to know that Emma's bite went quite quickly, although the anti-histemine tablets she was given were more like sedatives as she did nothing but sleep for the two days she was taking them!
The beach has stayed as perfect as ever, although the sea did get a little cooler over the last few days. It wasn't quite like getting into a hot bath as it had been! We spent today testing out our new diving masks, snorkelling around the rocks at Sairee Beach. Even being this close to the land we saw loads of interesting and brightly coloured fish. Emma is persevering with her Buddhism book, but today she realised that she may not be fully converted due to the fact that Buddhists are expected to view food as simply fuel for the body, and not to be viewed as pleasurable in any way.
We're afraid that this revelation didn't deter us from our afternoon ice-creams.We headed out early tonight in order to watch the sunset at Lotus Bar. It was a perfect setting, sat on cushion seats on the beach, watching the sun set into the ocean. A happy hour drink or two later we went for food and tonight treated ourselves to food at 'Papas Tapas.' It cost a little more than we would normally spend but the food was excellent and the atmosphere would be hard to beat. It was a good end to our holiday on the island.
