Bus journey down the coast
We spent the morning pottering around Berry before catching the bus at lunchtime to Narooma, another coastal town further south on the NSW coast. The bus dropped us right outside Lynches Hotel where we are staying for tonight only as the hostel was booked up. It's an interesting building, quite old and wooden with loads of rooms and a few balconies around the building. Downstairs is one of those typical Australian pubs - full of men watching the horse racing with a schooner in front of them.
We went out for tea at a restaurant down the road that had fantastic views over the coast. We headed back to the hotel thinking we would have a drink in the bar only to find it was shut - at 8.30pm. We have come to the conclusion that drinking must be a daytime thing in Australia. So we went up to the lounge and watched some tennis.
