Back on the move

Yesterday was the last of our time in the Rocky Mountains. It was good to be on the move again. We boarded "The Skeena" at lunch time. There weren't many people on the train. Soon after the train set off we headed up to the dome car to see the rest of the mountains. We saw Mount Robson - the tallest in Canada, it was an impressive mass covered in snow - its peak well into the clouds. The mountains continued for a few hours, after that it gradually became trees, trees and more trees. We passed though a town called Penny, where the train slowed down to pick up the post - apparently there are no roads connected to this place - one of the remotest places in British Columbia. We arrived later that expected into Prince George due to the number of freight trains we had to pass by - some of these must be 3-4km long.
Today we had to be up extremely early - 6.30am - it was worse than being at work! The train left at 8.00am and it was a long day. We saw many trees, much water, a few bridges, and some tunnels - 12 + hours later we arrived in Prince Rupert on the west coast of Canada. The hostel shuttle picked us up and we booked into Pioneer Hostel, just around the corner fom the harbour - Cow Bay.
