Attempting to leave
The plan today was to leave here and start to make our way back down the country. However, we ran into a bit of a problem. Last night when we said we would be leaving Steph at the Zombie Cucumber said that if we stayed tonight she would put apple crumble and custard on the menu! Oh dear. So this morning when we got up we packed and went for breakfast, looked at the dinner menu and what was on for tonight but apple crumble and custard - so we had to stay. Well, we haven't had custard for almost a year! So we unpacked and had another day relaxing, today on the beach. We spent much of the afternoon chatting with two local guys who came to chat with us. Them practicing their English whilst trying to teach us Portugese and other local languages - a bit of a hopeless task really!
We enjoyed the apple crumple and the custard was just like at home (the owners of the hostel are English). It was worth staying the extra night.
