From Faya to N'Djamena

Another day on the long way down to N'Djamena. The vegetation grows lusher and lusher. Date palms are now replaced by Mango trees and Baobabs. The heat is still insupportable, the air more and more humid. Then, north of Massakori, the first tropical rain shower. What a pleasure after weeks in desert!

Then two days in N'Djamena, the capital of the Republic of Chad. We buy a new hydraulic tube for our power steering mechanism for it is still leaking and we have to refill liquid every 50 to 100 km, which can be extremely annoying. We also spend a whole day in the Nigerian embassy to obtain a simple transit visa - a little handsel of what is expecting us there...
