Entering the Tibesti region

The Tibesti is of volcanic origin and ranks among the most remote areas of the world. Being again and again arena for bloody conflicts and civil war, it has been more or less impossible to get there for over a decade.

I still consider it as a privilege that I have been able to visit these mysterious and breathtaking places during that short time slot end of the nineties...
