spending the new year sailing

Ok so it's not some exotic far off land but, this is some of the most amazing scenery I have ever seen. Here in our very own backyard! Some of these places are nothing more than a town to pass by on the way to a more exciting place for most people. However I see much beauty in these places, to me these are the heart and soul of America.

spending the new year sailing

Sailing is what my parents do every weekend so, when we go to Kemah that is what we spend our time doing.  It's funny because when I lived there as a young girl, I hated going sailing.  It was boring, there was nothing to see, except water.  Now I look forward to doing it.  Even when it's cold like the day we took these pictures!

I want to take my dad sailing out of Kemah one day since he's never been. That's cool you and the family go out on the water together. I just wish the water was prettier in Galveston Bay.
