the hill country, in the fall!
November 22, 2008
just some neat pics, from a Girl Scout camp weekend!
Utopia, is a little town in the Texas hill country. What it lacks in size it more than makes up for in beauty! With a population of about 300, this is a nice little escape for anyone who likes the outdoors. This small Texas community is aptly named. Situated along the banks of the picturesque, cypress-lined Sabinal River. So bring your camera, fishing rod, hiking boots, and leave all your stress behind!

Enchanting
The area has many natural attractions such as; rivers, lakes, natural springs, beautiful rolling hills of limestone. It is home to the Natural Bridge Caverns, the Enchanted Rock, and many many more to name. There are many small quaint towns to choose from like New Braunfels, Gruene, Blanco, Boerne, Fredericksburg (these are my favorite towns BTW.) As well as big cities like Austin, and the North side of San Antonio. The area is also unique for it's blend of cultures from Spanish, to German, Swiss, Austrian, and Czech mainly. No wonder the area has a fest for just about everything. If your into outdoorsy stuff then this place is for you! If your into arts and culture then this place is for you, as well. If your into music, food, or drink festivals then you guessed it this place is for you! Really theres just so much to see and do in the hill country. It is also where the majority of Texas winery's can be found. Oh and Texas people are also the friendliest people around!
