Ok so it's not some exotic far off land but, this is some of the most amazing scenery I have ever seen. Here in our very own backyard! Some of these places are nothing more than a town to pass by on the way to a more exciting place for most people. However I see much beauty in these places, to me these are the heart and soul of America.

This place is magnificent with some of the most breath taking views I have ever seen. Towering red rock formations are the main attraction but, you also get magnificent views of pike's peak in one direction or beautiful old Colorado City from the other direction. There are some areas where the rocks simply appear to be balancing on a ledge and one good gust of wind could just send them rolling off! This is noticeable on my 7th picture shown here. Other areas such as were my girls are standing give you the impression that you're right up there in the heavens with God himself. I love photography so I always look for the opportunity to take some amazing pictures of my family. Believe me when I say this area provides for some amazing pictures! However I can see how this place would be of serious enjoyment to several kinds of people. For nature lovers and hikers there is plenty of wildlife to observe as well, some off the beaten path trails to see nature and all it's splendor at it's best. If there's some rock climbing junkies out there garden of the gods is one place you would want to add to your list. The best thing about this park is that it is absolutly free to the public.
