I always wonder why is it that I love mountains so much:). Well hello, because they are so beautiful, almost untouched by the human hand (hm), surprising, dangerous...just look;)

Sentimental and spontanious trip to Karpacz

Śnieżka

Okay, the weather was not very nice...okay, it was short notice...and okay, maybe it is a bit far...but why didn't anyone want to go with me to Karpacz that day?I really really felt like getting in touch with the mountain spirit, apparently only me...and so I went alone. Here I was all by myself in Karpacz, I got a place to sleep and went for a walk to the center, because there was supposed to be a concert there later that day. By the way, the weather really wasn't too nice. It was rainy and cold. But hey...a concert under the stars...couldn't resist it... just needed an umbrella. Oh, wait, I didn't have one. Nevermind that...the concert was fantastic...and while it lasted a friend of mine called me and asked if I really went to Karpacz by myself or was I only joking.

..as I confirmed my presence in the rainy center of Karpacz, he said...see you in 3 hours. Heh, and he came.

The next day we started our trip to the top of Śnieżka, highest mountain in Karkonosze. The morning was really sunny, but as we were walking it started to get colder and colder. Finally, more or less half way to the top it started raining...lovely. Could it get any better? When we finally got to the shelter at the top of Śnieżka, soaking wet, we checked the termometer....it was 0 degrees C...:))). Well, this temperature certainly required one....or two hot wines witout doubt.

To make the long story short this walk up and back down took us the whole day and at the end we had to walk through the whole city (6km in the rain)to the place where we were staying cuz the last but had left half an hour earlier. It was fantastic, I was satisfyingly tired and totally soaked which only added to the pleasure:)))). I am awaiting more of such or other...:)
